Guizhou starts construction on 687 major projects on Feb 1. [Photo/ddcpc.cn]
The launching ceremony for major projects of the first quarter of this year in Southwest China"s Guizhou province was held on Feb 1. At the ceremony, 687 projects with a total investment of 376.77 billion yuan ($55.87 billion) announced the start of construction.
The projects take industrial investment as a priority, focus on industrial infrastructures, promote integrated development, and aim to improve the urban environment.
This quarter, Guizhou will see 62 tourism projects with a total investment of 29.06 billion yuan, 95 modern agricultural projects with a total investment of 29.28 billion yuan, 88 infrastructure projects with a total investment of 31.27 billion yuan, 157 new urbanization projects with a total investment of 75.69 billion yuan, and 35 education and healthcare projects with a total investment of 10.59 billion yuan.
